About the Tour
Departure from the hotel towards the North Coast at 7:00 AM to reach the village of Praia do Forte (85 km). The tour begins with a brief presentation about the Humpback Whale Project and these whales. A T-shirt will be offered to participants. Around 9:00 AM, board a schooner for a navigation of approximately 25 miles for whale watching. These marine mammals migrate to the warm waters of the Bahian coast for reproduction. A biologist from the Humpback Whale Project accompanies participants, providing information throughout the trip. A snack is served on board. Return to Praia do Forte around 1:00 PM. Lunch with fish and seafood in the village. Visit to the Marine Turtle Protection Center (TAMAR Project). Praia do Forte is one of the main reproduction sites for turtles. Afterwards, return to Salvador.
Note: Due to unforeseen circumstances, this tour may be canceled before departure from Salvador at 7:00 AM. In this case, the agency will not charge for the tour.
